Journaling

This year due to ill health and to help me be more productive and create new ideas I journal everyday. I actually currently have 6 journals all for parts of my life. I did use to use an app, I have tried them all but putting pen to paper works much better for me. I use ones as my main brain dump journal, design and ideas, drawing, recipes, a book I am writing and a small pocket sized one that I take everywhere with me.

There are many reasons why people choose to write in a journal, including:

  1. Self-reflection and self-discovery: Writing in a journal can help individuals understand their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, and gain insight into their own minds.

  2. Stress relief and emotional regulation: Journaling can be a therapeutic tool for managing stress and regulating emotions.

  3. Goal setting and tracking progress: Writing down goals and tracking progress can help individuals stay motivated and accountable.

  4. Memory keeping: A journal can serve as a written record of important events, memories, and personal growth.

  5. Creativity and problem-solving: Writing in a journal can be a helpful tool for generating new ideas, solving problems, and exploring different perspectives.

  6. Documenting personal history: A journal can serve as a historical document of an individual's life and experiences.

  7. Communication and sharing: Some people might choose to share their journal with others, as a way of communicating and connecting with others.
